Echo

November 3, 2013

You echo through my thoughts

As I do my best not

to let you take over my mind

but love is blind.

and stupid.

Illogical.

Cryptic.

Painful.

Stop.

I don't wanna be a slave to your heart,

always there for you to the end from the start

I wish to only love you as a friend

I don't want this to come to a bitter end

and I'd be lying

if I said I wasn't trying.

I shouldn't still love you

but I do.

This bed in which I lay in

is filled from our memories and

at times they all spill out

as I lay here and there's no doubt

that it'll take me time to not love you

and to stop being a fool.
