Damaged

August 26, 2019
I may not be an angel Not trying to be the best I'm ripped at every angle I've failed all life's tests Weak in the morning Broken till the night There's fear alarming My heart that I'm losing this fight Beneath the shade of trees Below the heavy seas Is where I want to be Singing a rhythm that doesn't have to rhyme I'm not perfect Then what's the point of a perfect song Just want to hide away In between the wind's waves I'm damaged Behind my crooked smile Behind my tedious eyes You know there lives a non-curable destruction A part of me forgot to function it wanders in a world of fantasy-fiction No need to drag me down from another hefty peak Don't say   I'm damaged I already know I'm damaged all the way In my own skin, my mind treats me like a slave Even though my heart's got fate A fear screams, "it's too late" Damaged I'm completely damaged
