WHY GIVE UP NOW?

October 2, 2017

You wrestled to fell the trees with the axe of

your arms

You burnt and cleared the trees with the fire of

the zeal in your palms

Resilient, you ploughed the soil with your teeth and

claw-like nails

Wounded, the ground bled of agonizing furrows

Relentless, you buried in the open mouths of

the furrows those little seeds ---

they were all you could afford

Due to your generous watering the seeds germinated

despite the hot and rocky soil

Your enduring root-watering and continued nursing

of the thorn and thistle choked tendrils saw the

plants to maturity

You were patient. You kept waiting

as if you had known the future and seen

the plant's yields yet to yield

Time passed!

And now, the harvest is but in a short while;

those months of toil and pain are about to be turned

into a life time of bliss

Just then, at the verge of reaping, you saw a beautiful

fruit in a dangerous branch and thought you had

waited for too long

You abandoned the plant you had grown and

nurtured through months of tears and toil for

what seemed perfect but turned out a mirage

This is not just a story; it is a definition of the difference

between yesterday and today, and a prediction of

tomorrow called prophecy

If you could make it this far,

You can make it through;

If eight months could come and go,

The ninth is worth waiting for.

The only distance between dream and its

Fulfillment is time

So, Why Give Up Now?
