Not The Same

January 31, 2015

    It's not fair

To be picked on for race

Everyday I see a new day of racism

Every night a lie awake in tears

    We shouldn't bully

Why beat up on your peers?

Why hurt the people that can help?

Creating a barrier between you and that person that can't be fixed.

Are we not of the same species?

Are we not of the same planet?

Do we not shed tears?

Do we not bleed like you do?

The color of my skin is just a representation,

To represent that nobody will be the same.

Nobody will be the same.

Racism will not change that fact.

All Caucasian people are not the same.

All Indian or Native American people are not the same.

All Asian or African American people are not the same.

Nobody is the same.

The color of our skin shouldn't define who we are.

Our personalities should define us.

How we act should define us.

Or how we carry ourselves should defin us.
