Morning Me

July 29, 2015

I am awoken, not by sounds.

The sun egging me on with its rays to arise.

Birds conversing, cheerful small talk.

Inviting me to join the world outside.

The breeze, a mornings greeting.

Saying hello with her gentle touch.

My eyes relaxed open, eager heart beating.

A peaceful moment I do not rush.

So quiet, such serenity.

The calm before the storm of the day.

Work is approaching, Peace's enemy.

And he scares my calm away.
