If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

I like being able to form truth and an image with my words. I live stringing them together and allowing yo reader to get something different or it touch them in a unique way.

Stereotypes of Today

January 14, 2020

They say that we live in a rape culture

where "look at what she was wearing"

Like that should justify anything.

but when is someone going to mention that we live in a suicide culture too.

hearing multiple times a day "might as well kill myself now"

"please hit me car, maybe it'll pay for my college"

" you should just go kill yourself"

"Let me just tie my noose"

"I'm going to die tomorrow"

Hearing this constantly

Elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, college

we just can't seem to get away from the thought of death.

but what about the kids who "joke" about it and don't show up for school the next day

what about the tears that girl cried in the bathroom at school;

Death seems to be the only one to catch them

OR the boy who was almost a man who decided that being abused wasn't worth life.
We take life for granted yet life doesn't take us for granted.

life takes every moment we give it, and wishes for more when ended too early.

It mourns with the ones still here when someone took life out of its own hands

why don't we wake up each morning realizing just how much of a gift life really is.

and instead of spreading death all the time let's spread life instead.
