Quiet in Mind

October 17, 2017

The way he laughs is the same way he cries

No one knows what’s going on inside.

Behind closes doors

A dark secret lies.

His lover at night

Enemy in morn.

They take his freedom

Little by little.

Deprive him of air

’till he is brittle.

He doesn’t complain

He makes no sound.

Because he knows

They do not play around.

No one can hear his silent pleas

The ache of legs inside of his jeans.

The ache of heart in a wrought iron cage

Tears him apart with each new dawn of day

A story untold, you hear it now

Beware of those

Who make no sound.
