Missing You

July 24, 2013

Days go by
Time fades away
It doesn't seem to matter anymore.
I keep asking myself questions
Asking how and why
I try to figure out why my heart is still sore.

I look back
at everything that happened
I start to cry just thinking about you.
I wonder what went wrong
What I had done or said.
I realize now, there's nothing I can do.

Life goes on
but it's not the same
The emptiness won't seem to leave me be.
I try to fill the void
but nothing seems to work
Forever will this pain live inside me.

I slip away
Until there is nothing left
to hold onto from my happy past.
The loneliness consumed me
I wonder why I live
Hoping each day that goes by will be my last.
