Why I Write
I began writing as a child.
I wrote because I wanted to have a voice; I wanted to be heard.
I was so use to being ignored, but with a pencil in my hand I felt important.
Although I finally escaped the torture of my childhood, I still continue to find comfort in the joining of pencil and paper.
I write to get all the thoughts in my head down on paper.
I write when I am happy, sad, mad, confused, or just content.
I write because it is easier to express myself on paper than it is in person.
I write because I want to show people that you do not have to handle your life struggles alone.
With a pencil and a piece of paper, you too can let those around you into your heart and soul.
When that happens, you can finally learn how to love and be loved in return.
