Worthless

December 18, 2014

Hi, my name is “no one”

That’s who they say I am

Hey, my name is “Worthless”

And I don’t understand

There is no goodness in me

No secret hidden beauty

But you say that you see

Something that cannot be

I want to believe you

There’s nothing more I’d rather do

But I don’t see what you see

And your words won’t make me believe

Because I’ve never felt beautiful

And I’ve never felt smart

I only feel worthless

And it breaks my heart

I’ve lived so long in the shadows

I’ve forgotten how to shine

I’ve fallen so far down the rabbit hole

I don’t know which way to climb
