No Mirrors

September 13, 2014
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but does it tell you what I’m thinking?

Can you read these thoughts I’m thinking?

Can you see that I’m not breathing?

Bro I’m scared.

Scared that I've done too much and now they want too much.

I did great things and now if I stop… they might see me for who I really am.

Scared, honestly I’m scared

So I stop breathing to avoid screaming,

And I stopped crying to avoid lying.

Couse if you asked me why, ill blame it on my allergies.

I’m scared that my heart is indeed inherently evil.

I’m scared that my thoughts are darker than my complexion and the reflection that my brother sees
doesn’t quite line up with the realities of my soul.

I wonder what would happen if I dropped the act.

If when they asked my thoughts I said” as a matter a fact I don’t care.”

The shoe don’t fit so don’t wear it.

The man in the mirror doesn’t quite look right.

The man in my head doesn’t quite sound right.

My lady said that I don’t act right.

That’s good news!

That’s right!

I quit acting since last night.

Are they ready for me?

I mean honestly…

No more mirrors, just reality.
