Finding No One

August 28, 2017

Once Upon A Time

I lost the love of my life and children in a blink of an eye.

When I came to I made an alternative universe,

One that let me have one child survive.

I named him Nemo, for he was the only one,

The only one that survived and I could call him my son.

I then lost him to a dangerous fish

Something that caused me to go into a parental crisis

While on a frantic search and journey to find him I made a friend

Her name was Dory,

She was my companion that kept me sane

One that I made dumber so it looked like I had a brain.

While swimming to find him across the sea

We met three sharks,

Anchor, Bruce, and Chum

I made them nice because I didn't want my life to be done

They weren't vicious but they were a key

A key that shows not everything is as it seems.

Later I met a sea turtle named Crush,

I know weird name, but that's what my heart felt

He was there to help me be calm and go with the flow

Try not to rush and take everything slow.

I made Crush a son because that's how I pictured my life would be

A son that would look and idolize me.

I pictured my son to have many friends

Ones with different personalities and many odds and ends

Ones that would help him in times of trouble

Show him he's stronger than a little pebble

I made many other creatures while on this trip,

Ones that helped me even though my personalities were split.

In the end, I was reunited with my son

I came to my senses and realized as I let him go

That I never had a child that really survived

I just made up one to make my life worthwhile

In the true end instead of Finding Nemo

I was on a journey where I found no one.
