Struggle

July 11, 2018
Moved out mom and dads at the age of 18/ Young and and ambitious thought she found a new team/ Moved with a man who had money coming in/ Found out that the cash really wasnt his./ Bills came time to find herself a job/ Get some dough and then she gets robbed/ Working three jobs just to make ends meet/ Young momma trying to stay on her 2 feet/ Got 3 kids but the father passed away/ Stress in her chest tying to make it through the day/ Lights due and not enough to pay/ They dont care just use the brightness from the day/ Rent due and not enough to pay/ They dont care they just throw you in the bay/ Now on the street have to sleep in her car/ Scared at night thinking someone will take it too far/ Hot water corn bread for dinner every night / She couldnt afford anything else your right/ Go to the county because she needs a little help/ She asked for housing they say she dont qulify. welp?/ Back to the drawing board she need a little help/ Car note due they dont care they just repo. Welp? Its really hard for a young black girl to survine/ proverty slaps her while she trying to thrive/ Working three jobs just to make ends meet/ Young momma trying to stay on her 2 feet/ Got 3 kids but the father passed away/ Stress in her chest tying to make it through the day. / Through all the stuggle in the pain/ Poetry still remained/ Able to write down her life/ Made poets think twice/ She got a trophy and some cash/ Now her family will last/ Its really hard for a young girl to survine/ proverty slaps her while she trying to thrive/ Was working three jobs just to make ends meet/ Young momma finally got on her 2 feet/ Got 3 kids but the father passed away/ No stress in her chest/ She can make it through the day.
