The Open Window

May 9, 2013
Is there something' in this empty room that I don't see? Something' hidin' behind the curtain that covers nothin' but also everything. It leaves the room dark but it lets in light as the open window lets a breeze roll in. Streaks of light shine through then quickly fall away. This is not how I dreamed it, I feel this is how I'm living. With every opportunity being the light that shines through the open window and the wind that blows inside my dreams which will seem to take these opportunity's away with just a quick breath. The room represents my mind. It's cold and dark, and I see no objects. Except for one. I see a chair that I can sit in and I can watch the window. As soon as the light shines in I want to grab it but know that I'm not capable. So I just sit in wait. And I wait for the next opportunity to arise where I won't have to regret what I could have said or done at the time of the opportunity. I know that I must stay in this room, 'til I can free myself of my mind and see past the light filled window and seize my opportunities as they come to me and not second guess these decisions.
