Grim Reaper

January 14, 2019

Dear Death,

We are blinded by sight, the fact that I can’t see you but touch you

Makes the feeling so ever more right

And if my eyes may tremble by the view of you

Then I don’t want to see the light

Why view those imperfections

When you’re already a perfection in my mind

You make your presence known, on my timely demise

Look me in my eyes, I’ve been told your eyes are blacker than mine

Some say your touch is like a passionate kiss

But what do we know, ignorance is bliss as far as you know

Are you a part of nature, no I don’t picture you as much of a caretaker

always lurking In the shadows I think I’ve seen you

maybe once, twice

Tell me, what is love like

This reaper job is taking a toll on your love life

You didn’t want to take her yet, you loved her

Something tells me you made her deadline for next summer

It’s hard to say goodbye, but you love to see them go

Seems your job is harder than mine

I can resist anything except temptation

And your offer has me on ends

Of this earth that is

What's wrong with a little dirt nap, well it is for eternity

When you call Its like I can hear the trees ruffle

And sometimes I wish I could be blown away with the wind

The stronger the wind blows, the louder I hear your thoughts

It’s aggressive but if you feel it suddenly the madness stops

And somehow your in another realm, and that’s what it projects to me

But I’m so casually interrupted, they constantly call out for me

We made a deal this secret place is our only spot

death, your presence is something I have not forgot

With love,

Maya.
