If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

1 poem·Since October 2012

I am a young hispanic-american and an undergraduate student with a lot on my mind on a daily basis. I aspire to be the first in my family to graduate with a Doctorate's, as my late father always dreamed for me. During my adolescences, my two sisters and I were raised by my single mother. Through the turmoil of my youth, my mother getting breast cancer and my father's passing, I learned to turn my experiences into my motivation. I will become a success, because I want it more and I have a loving family supporting as well as counting on me.
