At Last

July 10, 2016

Now, at last, I see the brightness of your smile

It illuminates; it outshines the moon and the stars

I want you to be happy and have a smile as wide as a mile

With me, I want you to be who you really are

Now, at last, I see the sparkle in your eyes

It shimmers; it shines and glows within

And no matter what situation may arise

I want to be entwined with you from now, forever, and until the end

Now, at last, I see the light inside of you

And it’s like a fog has lifted

It’s like a unique world has begun a new

And we are the only two that are in it

Now, at last, I see the glow in your face

And it’s like I can feel and love again

The entirety of the human race

And the softness of your skin

Now, at last, I see the radiance in your aura

And it’s nothing that I’ve seen before

I look at you and smile; Mon Cher amour

Because I know that I will never want anyone more
