Unbroken Thread

April 19, 2025

My love, I cannot take it anymore.

Silence gets us nowhere.

I see, but cannot feel you.

Yet, I’m here. I still care.

I still believe in us.

Despite everything, I’m not walking away.

I’m staying, waiting, hoping for us.

Why have you been so distant?

Was it something I said—something I did,

or not about me at all?

You’re still here, taking care of me.

Did someone we know have a problem

with the depth of our connection?

What is so wrong with being two friends who truly care?

Why does it have to be broken simply because others do not understand

you don’t have to fit a certain mold to be another’s friend.
