Wounded Wing

April 19, 2025

There is a goose out in the yard

whose life right now is kind of hard.

With injured wing, he’s struggling to fly

and all humans do is sit and wonder why

that bird is out there in THEIR yard.

It’s by a waterfront people!

That bird’s a waterfowl.

He’s out there for safety, shelter,

plants, seeds, and grasses- Food,

and not up to something foul.

Shame on all of you for being so callous, so subdued.

If you acted that way toward a human,

you'd be considered rude.
