Side 1                                                                                               Side 2

Keep yourself in line, they said                           Keep myself in line? I’ll try

Old people in older homes,                                I'm a young person in a smallish home

Afraid to leave                                                   Who’s already left

The places they were born.                                 The place that I was born.

It’s a dangerous world out there.                         It’s a beautiful world out there.

You’ll only regret causing yourself                        I’ll only regret causing myself

The pain of separation and loneliness.                  The pain of tedium if I stay.

I’ve been around the world, some say,              You’ve been around the world? I say!

And I can tell you this is                                    How lovely that you assume

The best place                                                   That this place

You’ll ever live in.                                              Is the only heaven .

Don’t be foolish. No one leaves here                   I  know I’m foolish. But I will leave here

Nobody dares to explore the lands beyond.          I will dare to explore all the countries beyond.

Lands beyond?                                                    Countries beyond?

You’re stupid to even think                                   You’re narrow to even think

That such a place exists.                                       That they are outsiders

                                                                           When all the world

Not in our neighborhood.                                      Is our neighborhood.

No outsider will affect us here.                              Everything affects us here.

Our sphere of influence is big enough.                    The sphere is influence is not just big

No need to extend                                                 In a businessman

Past the fields and prairies                                      But it extends far beyond

That we stole from the natives                                 Possessed by every being

So many years ago.                                                From gypsies to kings.

You will regret leaving all this behind                       I will not regret leaving all this behind.

For happiness is so hard to find.                             For it is not here that my happiness lies.
