Does It Matter?

June 20, 2016

Tears dripping down face

Seas of mourning

Sorrow grabs

Pulls

Pushes you in

The dark lake, a void

Sink deep below

Depression wraps around skin

It's pulling you in

The death from which

You'll never recover

Grief takes your air

Can't breathe a breath

The weight of the world

On your chest

It pulls

It pushes

Your heart rips

It tears

Everything gone

Anguish remains

The blackness of tears

Your heart it stains

Drip one by one

They jump off your cheek

It's only then

That you want to sleep

It's calm

Peace

Quiet drifting

Eyes shut

Sleeping

Sinking into puddles

That I have been weeping

Not a person in sight

But I'm hurting inside

Hold back tears?

Or let it all out?

Does it matter

If no one's around?
