The Battle

August 17, 2014

It would pull me in

Dare me to eat it

And then I would

And then I did

And then I hated myself

I wanted to be that girl

The thin one with legs

The toned one with abs

I wanted to feel love

But no one could tell

No one ever noticed me

Why would they now?

I'm as lost as can be

Surrounded by people

And yet so alone

So I'll sit here and wait

Wait to be seen

Wait to be noticed

And wait to be helped
