Forgotten

June 22, 2015
I'm staring up, At the blackness I call a ceiling, And I'm trying to fight the feeling, That you'll be gone soon. My mind runs, Straight back into the pictures, Turning the moments into mixtures, Of memories we've shared. And I know, There's a new life out there for you, Where you can do all you want to, All without reason. But my heart begs, Baby, won't you stay with me? We'll live in perfect harmony, Singing together. My soul breaks, Because the future is quite daunting, A life without you is haunting, In every step. For miles away, There's a past in your tomorrow, And it brings me great sorrow, That it's so close. My body trembles, At the thought that you could say yes, And just simply forget all the rest, Including me. All it takes, Is that one moment of weakness, The corruption of your meekness, Losing a love. Oh God please, Just stay the way you are, Not a falling shooting star, Burning out. Make the promise, That you'll remember me, And all we used to be, Before you left. Don't be drowned, And most off all, Won't you hear me when I call, Your name? I close my eyes, Knowing that you'll be missed, And I'll be longing to be kissed, But you're far gone.
