Why I Write

August 10, 2013

When my paper and pen meet I feel my words run though my veins, sometimes I think while other times I let my hand explain. I feel at peace when I have time alone to just think and write. Not caring if others like it or not. I let my emotions get the best of me, but when paper and pen meet I feel a sense of relief. When I see my life caving in all I do is pick up a pen. When I feel like this I start to cry, which means I understand the reasons of my letters which carry messages, heavier than bare bricks. Life and death is in the power of my tounge, but I decide to use paper because they become one. My thinking and innocent words are put to practice with my hand and I realize their not so innocent. Poetry is my therapy, a pill or drug however you want to call it. Either way I love doing it and I don't want to stop using it.
