Same old song&dance

December 3, 2013
"Actions speak louder than words" she cries like a broken record. The city crumbles beneath her feet, Free falling makes it so hard to stand. The words she writes cling to the page. She's trying to forget, Even though she can't. She’s dripping with anticipation. Clinging to the promise you made, Letting the hope consume her. She sticks to the bright side, Even though the dark beckons her. It’s a tragic tale of the ordinary. Running through the usual, She tries to catch a glimpse of what she once had. Trying desperately to convince herself that this time it'll work. But this one was just like the last, and will be just like the next one. And like a vicious cycle, it starts again.
