Have you ever felt an itch

grow outward from your bones

into your raw skin

out of your grinning mouth

and smother your open eyes

Have you ever had a scratch

scrawl across your fingertips

tickle your nose

and bleed your ears dry

Have you ever felt a tingle

Tremble up your spine

As your bleeding bitten nails

Claw the broken skin upon your wrists

While screaming for someone to see
