If...

September 11, 2025

And, Oh! The way my heart does clench

Upon the gleam of delight in those dark

Eyes

Those eyes that could see me whole, as myself

Were it, I was not overcome with that urge to

Drown

In that most dark sanctity beholden in her gaze

Before I am taken by Morpheus, I peer into the still night

Imagining myself looking into her holy dark

That could see with adoration into myself

If

My restraint remains…

If this part of me, cruel to others by choice and need

And so willing to claim her and drown in her dark,

Remains chained to that disturbed piece of me, that has kept me

Alive and surviving and hating and self-loathing

If

This thing, thing of flames to burn the world

And give her heat all the same

This thing that would drown the world

And quench her thirst all the same

This thing made of these destroying purifiers

Remains chained to this disdaining, self hating surviving piece

Perhaps

We shall know and be known to one another

With

Glee
