Sister

February 6, 2020

It's amazing how we are friends. Looking back we started out as strangers. I only knew you as your brother's younger sister. However, on that one fateful day when ran together at practice that all changed. Soon we began to talk frequently and exchange smiles in the halls. Eventually we became close friends.

Although I don't voice this, but I should, you inspire me. You are strong, even amidst all your pain and troubles, whereas I become easily overwhelmed by my demons. You carry this bright and charismatic aurora with you and it amazes me how you easily get along with others. When you are hurting it breaks my heart and I stick by you and comfort you as best I can like you've always done for me.

It's funny how you are two years younger than me, yet I learn from you and even look up to you. Back then I never expected us to become best friends because of our different personalities and age difference. But we did and I am so happy that we did. Because I have an amazing friend, who inspires me to be strong, to face life with confidence and who teaches me even the smallest of things. Who I have long considered as my sister.
