If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

6 poems·Since October 2013

I am a mother who enjoys exploring new hobbies just for fun. Smooth Jazz, RnB, and HIpHip are my top favorite genres. I believe in giving back to the community for it says in the Holy Bible in the book of Matthew chapter 23 and verse 11 that the greatest among you will be your servant (New International Version). I tend to write when I have a break from life just to reflect on the areas in my life.

Why Me?

November 18, 2018

A teenager who is misunderstood by those who think they understand.

Why do people judge me when I seem to do what is right in my eye, but wrong to them?

They may try to correct me, but I just shrug it off.

"Why did you say that??" they asked.

I simply replied, "I did not care."

"That was not right," they say.

You're not supposed to say that, they say.

Well, when I asked what the right way, they say what do you think?

I don't know what to think.

So now I'm in the grave.

Why me?

A teenager that is in the learning process trying to find oneself place in this world.

Why me?

Why answer me with a question that you already know the answer to?

Why not correct me with the answer that is right and settle this fight.

Just answer one question.....

Why me?
