What Doesn't Kill You

May 29, 2013
Life in the cheap seats, Darker than the house on a Saturday night. A balloon wrapping up your eyes, closing the lid A mind that has forfeited And a body not strong enought to carry it. Is it better to feel pain than nothing at all? The absent answers sink in the open spaces, Between wehere you are and where you want to be. Begging for a solution, an end. When morning hurts because your wish was not granted. Put on a decent face and leave the real one behind with the wet pillow. Lost in your days because each corner leads to an inert wall. Life slither past, mocking you, A reminder of what you are not. The truth is too dirty to admit so it cuddles up, Close to your heart to stay balmy. A parasite leaching from the warm blood pumping to hopeless limbs, Gaining potency and size, fortifying itself from the layers of your breast. To overtake you. You are not free, locked in a vessel of scarlet walls, Dripping with the screams you are too ashamed to let out. Akey sits on the floor, too heavy to lift. A release lies in sight, too far away to imagine.
