Candle of Life

May 10, 2013
Strike, ignition of a flame. Slowly growing, consuming the necessities to survive. Steady flaws, enjoyment, envy, engagement. Flickering, shimmering in the dark, dancing endlessly into the nights. Crackling, sparking, excitement, Swaying to the music of the winds. Alone on a stick the flame dances, Hoping to catch the eye of a wandering mind. Enticing and gazing, whispering its guidance. 'Follow my dance of dances.' Each sway, each movement, each rhythm, The shadows dancing, entangled as one. Time ticks away into the nights. Hot wax dripping away. Slower and slower till the music halts. An ever weary stillness takes place. Nothing moves, silence engulfs. A souls light has stopped, and finally fades out.
