Promise of Peace

November 28, 2013

We all strive for perfection, for peace

But peace is a fragile thing

Just like the line separating Utopias and Dystopias

A Utopia can easily become a Dystopia

And peace can become terror

We crave peace but profit from war

Peace means safety but war means

Employment and a goal to work for

We can’t have both because they conflict

But that is what we wish for

We strive for world peace

But it is an impossible dream

Being human means being imperfect

Which stops us from realizing this dream

And so we constantly work for world peace

All it takes is one human filled with deadly sins

And a delicately crafted systems come crashing down

No matter the precautions or defenses

A weakness will be exploited

Such is the way of our natural world
