Penny for your thoughts

October 24, 2017

To tell you the truth I have been drained emotionally physically

mentally and perceptively I can not see where my life

is going are what it is to be enlighten me with your ways

a penny for your thoughts you are my best friend

and I envy the way you are the sun shines and sets

on the days I don’t remember when i’m with you

your mind is filled with questions and doubts

but i believe together we’ll make it through

a penny for your thoughts a day or two i’m glad I found you

someone with your mind and a person with my wondering thoughts

I can’t help but wonder where you came from

a mystery longed for but soon forgotten as we talk

you restore in me hope and build me up

a penny for your thoughts is enough as long as you’re with me
