Pill

May 2, 2014
It's not healthy, I know
Like I'm just putting on a show
Writing rhymes to forget
That I am very sick.

Maybe something's not right
This worsening plight
But it feels like it's better
Choking in this sweater

 No it's not okay
To dream about death this way
Just one kiss
Off Grim's lips

Somehow writing helps
A feeling I've never felt
Words are a relief
A pill for the grief

Writing this poem is
Why I didn't cut my skin
Something's growing inside
A will to fight and not hide

I will rise above
I live for something greater,
I live for love

It's His love that saved me,
Saved me from myself
And from my past I am free
