Teacher or librarian
the stereotypical answers
my parents would give
if I asked (I didn't bother).
I have the utmost respect for teachers
and God do I love the library,
right? I work there ... kind of.
She's stern, sure,
with thick rimmed glasses,
but she had that look.
Too professional for a casual dinner
or night on the town.
A look that said
she knew every move to make
tomorrow, next week,
the next five years.
The look of a CEO.
She could lead the masses,
with sky rocketing sales
and customers around the block.
She's not the 9 to 5,
more like the 7 to 7,
First there and last to leave.
"That's not even a Lexus,"
they'd say (WHO CARES?).
Maybe not, but it's shinny,
less than five years old,
not a scratch present
since no one would dare,
and four wheel drive,
because she'll be there,
rain, snow, fog, hail,
hell, probably even the apocalypse.
That's the kind of woman she is.
