Hope Within

July 6, 2013

In a world full of pain and fear she finds peace

In a world full of darkness and cold she finds light and warmth

In a world full of despair she finds faith

She knows not of the life outside this dark room

And she knows not of the children her age

But she knows of the world she created,

The world inside her own mind

Doctors and nurses come and go

They have no answers, they have no hope

They only know of their books and not of her pain,

They only know of their studies and not her reality

The darkness starts to close in around her,

But she is safe and warm inside her mind,

In the world that she has created

In a world full of life and hope,

She has faith in the strength of her own heart,

And Peace in the knowledge that her life has just begun to start
