Baseball

April 8, 2016

I Love this game

But it does not love me

The sound of the oak wood bats

Launching spheres

Into orbit

That perfect sound

I love this game

But it does not love me

The sliding to steal

The diving to rob

The dirt that cloaks me

The perfect camouflage

I love this game

But it does not love me

The memories

The brotherhood of

Imperfect men in

The perfect game

I love this game

But it does not love me

This game will leave me

After that last inning

After my last hit

The perfect exit
