Basirat Balogun

If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

12 poems·Since March 2014

I am Basirat but every one calls me Kemi. Poetry is my passion, I have always been good at writing but I never truly realized that poetry was my talent. My poetry persona is The Moon Owl for many reasons, for one I do some of my best writing at night time, that is when I am always awake like an owl. The moon's light is a reflection of the Sun and I strive for all of my light and glory to reflect the Son (Jesus Christ) and the owl represents wisdom which is something I have that is beyond my years. I am currently working on trying to publish my poetry in a book this year:)
