Confidence

August 19, 2015
A lot of times we think of confidence as just trusting in our selves.

And we forget that it is also having trust in others or things.
Confidence is firmly believing!
Believing with faith!
Having faith that won't be shaken.
Having faith that even though shaken will never be broken.
It's knowing what you have and trusting that you will make it through.
Even though what you have may seem like not enough,
Confidence is coming to an understanding that you must be tough through what ever happens.
Confidence is stone wall that can't be broken down.
It's a useful tool that brings someone up from the ground.
Confidence wins battles when soldiers feel week.
Confidence stops tears when it is given to the meek.
Though with too much confidence it can lead to pride.
A burning love of oneself starts to takeover inside.
It can lead to arrogance, disrespect, disdain, haughtiness, and self idolatry.
Burning ones insides until there is no more hope of ones sense of humbleness or humanity.
It comes to a point where this confidence turns into this uncontrollable monster.
Confidence becomes only a self reflective characteristic that is used for our greater good, not something we give unto others to help someone in need.
To much confidence can create greed, vanity, superiority, and egocentric behavior.
This overly exaggerated confidence becomes a drug.
And without it people can feel worthless, depressed, or emotionally wrecked!
And with too mush it can become dangerous.
Healthy confidence comes with being humble.
It's knowing where you stand and being proud in where you stand.
It's knowing who you are and being proud in who you are.
It's going out and doing something because you believe that you can.
It's standing tall but not so tall that you tower over others.

In reaching confidence we strive to be perfect, even though we know perfect isn't actually real.
We crave to be flawless in our thousands of flaws.
We wish to smile brighter, stand up taller, look at life better, so that we may be confident, but each day we feel to have fallen short.
No one has a perfect body, perfect eyes or perfect smile.
No one is the same, no one is better then the other.
But we feel that if we are not these things then how can we be confident.
And we end up getting hurt, by either words, actions, or both because we lack confidence.
Why don't we give ourselves any hope?
We feel tired, we feel weak, we feel like the days will never end, months and then more weeks.
We wish to have self confidence, to feel flawless and perfect.
And seems as if confidence is laughing behind our backs as we look for it.
We wish not to be so different, and we don't ever grasp that are uniqueness is what makes us who me and you are.
And good or bad or small or tall, or great or tiny, or thin or big, we hate the fact that we feel that we stand out then all the rest.
We feel that everyone's watching, that they are all just criticizing who we are or how we look, or what we are.
We think that everyone's confident except us!
But in all honesty they are thinking about what others are thinking about them just as we are.
I'm not gonna lie, some people do have it better, but don't forget that some people have it even worse.
Sometimes the people who seem like they have it all, the ones who smile the brightest, who stand up the tallest, who you might think to look better at life or have confidence, are sometimes the ones who are hurting on the inside and need confidence the most.
We shouldn't envy other peoples life stories that we seem to think we know.
And we shouldn't wish to end our stories either.
Purpose isn't knowing where you will go, purpose is knowing that you can still go.
Everyone has a purpose even from the day they were born, each breath we breathe is purpose. Every step we take might be chance but we take chances with confidence anyway.
So yes, you might not be perfect, and yes you have thousands of flaws.
But having confidence isn't knowing you are perfect, inside and out, having confidence is knowing you are worth it without a given doubt.
