The Box Labeled "Me"

July 31, 2014

The Box Labeld "Me"

Label me weird.

Cover me with locks.

Make a mental note,

And put me in a box.

Put me away.

File me under "strange."

You'll get my life,

Perfectly arranged.

Call me "gay."

Forget I exist.

File me away,

And put me on a list.

Look on the outside.

Don't open the box.

Why bother at all?

Just chain all the locks.

Keep me in this box;

In here you'll stow me.

Just read my label,

And you won' know me.

I won't fit in.

I can't be contained.

I make you unsure.

I will not be chained.

But it's not always so,

I think you'll agree.

I fit in a box;

The box labeled "me"
