Cold

November 3, 2017

When you laid your head on my chest

You commented how I actually have a heartbeat.

How I am actually alive.

You said I could be so cold sometimes.

You just had to make sure.

I laughed at your dumb joke.

And we continued the conversation.

I went into my head and thought.

He never had to make that joke.

Because every day it starts becoming.

Painfully Apparent.

You are not him.

My heart beats for him.
