Progressions

December 10, 2014

We’re running.

Forward. Farther. Faster.

Never looking back.

There’s no need for it.

There’s no time for it.

No time to scrutinize everything

That we’ve already passed on by.

Soaring across the pavement

Carried by two legs

Made of flesh and bone.

Facing onward and forward

Onward and forward alone.

Cradled by the wind.

Fighting earth’s pull.

Racing against all odds.

Onward and forward.

We succeed.

By not looking back.
