In My Mind

June 7, 2014

Every moment

Of every day

Of every hour

I think of you

I see your face

In my eyes

In my mind

I see what you’ve done to me

What you’ve done to us

Your actions

And your words

Tore us apart

Then they came

And you were taken away

It was for the better

It had to have been

After the happening

And time away

You learned your lesson

At least I hope you did

Now your back

And we are together again

We are fine

But that day

Those years

Will haunt me forever.
