My Family Tree (Shape Poem)

March 27, 2016

                                                                  My profoundly beloved

family tree, do you know how

much you mean to me? Every singe

branch and twig, either stout or thin. You

have grown with the tree or grafted within. Each

lead and bud, sprouted onto the family tree. Forever

being entwined into the roots and my heart. To many you

are a regular old tree. Poor timber and not much to see. To me,

you are extra special wood. Each branch so firm and good. This

bough of ours is truly fine. Oh how lusty is this tree of mine. My

profoundly beloved family tree. Do you know how much you

mean to me? We stand together through thick and thin.

We've stood together through all the troule we've

been in. We've spread our arms to shelter

one another from the storms of life.

                                                                    A sweet haven allowing the

                                                                      somnolent souls rest. To

                                                                           regain strength to

                                                                              carry on when

                                                                                 hope and

                                                                                  courage

                                                                                     seem

                                                                                     spent

                                                                                      and

                                                                                      gone.

My family tree can stand the stress of

war and greed. My family tree can provide strength

and grow and give to a wounded world to helo us live. Oh how

love and pride I have for being one of the roots of My Family Tree.
