If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

10 poems·Since December 2014

I like to write poetry and stories. Most of the poetry I post is songs that I've either finished writing or that I'm still working on. I'm kind of a beginner musician and when I get good enough, I'll add music to the lyrics and start performing them.

Blue Eyes

June 24, 2015

The colors fade away to shades

of black and white and muggy grays

but through the haze, I catch your gaze

of blue eyes sparking wildfires

igniting in me, secret desires

burning away the puppet master's wires.

The sight inspires revolution

giving me my absolution

without asking me for retribution

cleansing mind and body of their pollution.

In your eyes I find new clarity

the kind that is a rarity

drawing me closer to you

like magnets placed inside my shoe.

I move across that vast oblivion

in a moment, making my decision

to jump, head first, into those pools of blue

and be set afire by the passion in you.
