Eclipse

March 5, 2015

Tears fall.

Not a cascade, nor a drip

a fall.

Broken can be fixed

piece by piece, sometimes fast sometimes slow

but fixed nonetheless.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that was destroyed.

Im screaming, terrified.

What did I do? Why is this happening?

I'm banging on the glass

hoping for a crack

just a crack.

But nothing.

Not even a groan

nothing.

I slide down the brick

biting, scratching, cutting sensations tear down my back.

I welcome it.

Nothing can compare to your stab.

I'm cold now.

Ice presses against my chest

suffocating, unforgiving

I can't even shiver.

I'm numb.

This I can accept

this is all I know now,

becuase how can you melt the ice with no sun?
