The Simple Things

June 30, 2015

There are certain things in life that make you feel,

absolutely, positively, and completely surreal.

Those moments when you hold the ones dearest in your arms,

and realize that you're not in harm.

What about those days that you listen to the rain,

Or the simple smile you get when your hair stays tame.

What about the humidity and how you say you hate it so,

but you don't realize it gives you a gorgeous glow.

The feel of a cotton sundress flowing against your skin,

making you think happy thoughts and gleam from within.

See we don't pay attention to all these simple things,

and all the beauty and happiness with them that they bring.
