Writers Avoid Writing

August 15, 2013

The act of putting pen to paper

Is peculiar at best.

It’s not like it’s too difficult.

We writers get distracted.

A writers’ favorite hobby,

Is to avoid writing.

But it’ll be the readers

Who hand out the smiting.

Summoning the words

It’s harder than diamonds.

Sometimes it’s more

than we can afford.

It’s not like

We don’t want to write.

It just requires a creative

Spike.

A jump in the neuron

of creativity

will kick start us

to go on.

Sadly these creative bursts

Are few and far between.

And if we’re not careful,

The creation will hurt.

Those courageous enough

Will find it easy.

But if you don’t,

Then I have one word for you: tough!
