Time

June 18, 2013
Tick tock, tick tock Time is ticking It is moving on the clock But I feel like time is what I’m missing It is moving fast Like a car on a highway So much time has passed The days just seem to fade away Just yesterday I was only eight Hot summer days Staying out late Enjoying the games I used to play Face blood red Body covered in sweat and dirt Playful thoughts in my head Only skinned knees and bruises hurt Hot summer air Stars in the sky In a world without a care Height on the swings was the only kind of high Time keeps passing Now I’m a lot older Memories keep flashing They’re stored like files in a folder Tick tock, tick tock Time is still ticking It’s flying on the clock Moving at the speed of light while I’m only blinking
