Without A Filter

December 22, 2014

Without a filter,

I am me,

But that is not something you usually want others to see,

I’m careful about lighting,

when instead I should be writing,

for school,

I should be focused on my education,

But instead i’m focused on my representation.

I am told to care about the way I look and,

The truth is,

I like me,

I like the way I feel,

When I look real,

Without all that make-up,

and those guys commenting what’s up?,

without playing dress up,

and people not playing kiss up,

I don't need a person to comment on my photo,

I know I'll be okay though because,

Without a filter,

I am me,

and that is something everyone should see.
